4:30pm this afternoon
from the office window
it has been a bitterly cold day;
I should wear the camera
around my neck
as I missed the wind squall
which sent coloured leaves flying
~ from the kitchen window ~
it is the coldest start to May for 10 years
another rainbow at 5pm
we might have snow in the morning
'troubles melt like lemon drops'
when you stand and take this in

i couldn't get a thing done if i had a view out the window like yours alaine!!! these are beautiful images - you are deservedly lucky! steven
There is something so magical in rainbows! Lovely, lovely pictures, and you had a 'double' one!
I'm always very exited to see a rainbow, thinking and singing "somewhere over the r......" and cannot rush enough to get my camera out.
Wonderful to see an Australian one!
And yes - "the troubles melt...."!
Merci beaucoup et
amicalement, karin
Most Beautiful, Alaine!
Even a touch of a double rainbow in the second photo.
Isn't there something so magical about rainbows. We have been having them here a-plenty lately with all the rain. Wonderful images as always x
Hello Lainie:
What magical images you have captured here. Truly remarkable and such strikingly beautiful countryside. May indeed, your troubles melt like lemon drops!!
Steven...lucky to have found this plot; preparing dinner is always pleasurable.
La Pouyette...Karin, I'm convinced now to always have a camera at hand's reach.
Wanda...sometimes we have almost horizontal rainbows!
Ruthie...always magical; the pot of gold is so close!
Jane and Lance....it is special; we'll be truly reluctant to leave.
Come to Ohio, USA and have some warm spring! :)
What awesome photos. You have a gorgeous view! I love it when I capture rainbows like that but it doesn't happen very often.
Betsy...I've been reading about the floods, hope they're well away from you!
Alaine what a spectacular view to have out ones window! The rainbow is amazing! Lucky you! Vanna

What a gorgeous view!!! I would just sit and stare out of that window no matter how cold it was outside. A fire in the fireplace perhaps? What a yummy day!
With the blogger glitch yesterday I was lucky enough to retain all of your comments but lost my replies!!
