Susan...he just thinks that's the thing to do; just lies there on the couch watching telly, growling occasionally and then, when he sees an animal, he jumps down and runs, barking at the screen - it's bedlam! When it disappears, he runs into the next room (where there's another telly) to see where it's gone, barking his head off!
Wanda...yes, I think you're right. He also growls when children are on the box, maybe it's their shrill voices. He loves it, though, when children visit.
Hi, Alaine! That is sooo funny! I remember the dog I had when I was younger growing up was rather like that--nature programmes especially got him excited--LOL! Our cat Charlie gets beside himself if there are bird sounds on the TV or Radio... it's so funny! Happy Day :o)
First off your dog is adorable...and pretty amazing! You might want to send a pic of this over to a site called a place to love dogs. Love this site...people share their pet photos . The first photo really captures your telly lovin' pooch!
Tracy...that would be funny too, the cat prowling and meowing around at the bird sounds. Tajie goes crook at birds as well! I think he gets jealous, as my hubby feeds them and talks to them.
Maggie...thanks, I'll check out that site. Thanks about the new blog template; I'm a bit disappointed that the header shot is not centered but I can live with it.
Your dog is funny. We have cats but they don’t look at the TV. I tried to take pictures of the TV some time and it does not show well. I heard that the TV in this country (USA) is not too good technically and when cats look at it, they only see lines and not pictures. That could be it. If they hear bird singing though they look up.
Vagabonde...apparently dogs only see in black and white and they're not supposed to distinguish anything but our dog can! He even barks at cartoon animal characters!
Alaine--Our dog does the exact same thing! When he hears a dog or sees a dog on TV, he whines and barks and goes crazy. I will have to take some pictures of him next time he does it so you can see. I am in LOVE with your dog! Just exactly what kind is he/she? Is it a French Bulldog?
Teri...I'd love to see photos of your dog, particularly doing the same thing! Taj (our surname is Hall, so I named him Tajma Hall) is a Pugalier, a cross between a Pug and a King Charles Cavalier spaniel. He doesn't have the breathing problems that Pugs have and his legs and body are a little longer, but he's basically 99% Pug! He has such spirit!

Maybe he thinks he's guarding the house,Alaine...keeping all those animals in the big black box where they belong! He's very cute!

Hi Alaine,
I see you've had a change round - nice but I miss the pink and lilac! Good to see that the entire family enjoys watching the box!
Hi Derrick, I changed to a new Blogger template, so lost the old fonts and colours; never mind. Just a bit of fun with the dog post!

Also wanted to say...Love the new blog look. And the photo of you and grandson is so cute. How old is this little guy now?
