hi alaine - it's coming around to 5:30 in the afternoon here. a glorious day of sunshine and lazy clouds. i gardened through the nine to one shift and then blogged, napped, read, cooked, blogged, napped, read and now i'll cook again!!! a really lazy day known in north america as "labor day"!!! enjoy your day my aussie friend. steven
Hello Steven, yes, I've been to a few blogs that have mentioned that it's Labor Day weekend over there. We have one here as well, different dates in each State, Victoria in March -
"Labour Day, also known as Eight Hours Day in Tasmania and May Day in the Northern Territory, commemorates the granting of the eight-hour working day for Australians. It also recognizes workers’ contributions towards the nation’s economy. It is an annual public holiday and its date varies across the states and territories."
Glad to hear that you've laboured away today; four hours in the garden would have brought it up to scratch!
It's 7:45am here and we'll be off for a walk soon, then shopping and the garden.
I would, but it's a rainy day here in central Ohio....maybe tomorrow...no, it's supposed to rain then, too. Oh well, I guess I'll just take my vitamin D capsule! :)
Hi Susan, well, the same here, as it panned out. We got the shopping done and the rest of the day it rained, so the grass keeps on growing and the weeds multiplying! More rain today and I'm not knocking it!
Hello Alaine, I LOVE the thinking sculpture! Hmn, I hate weeding. I love plants but weeding takes so much time and the sun here is atrocious. I do not go out at all during the summer except to to work and errands. Did not use the pool this summer, it's like swimming in tepid water. I am looking forward to winter in the south. Thank you for the compliments.

Love that contemplative sculpture! Definitely possesses my energy for today!
I'll do it tomorrow!!
Lyn, ha, happens all the time; the will's there but the body's not!

Me, too!
This is a striking sculpture, Alaine. I hope you didn't do too much, but getting the air is fine!

Willow, I need a gardener!
Derrick, I'll try again today, in between showers.
