The tea sounds refreshing. Something about lemon that hits the spot when it's hot.

Mason Canyon...lovely to 'see' you again. I've put your lovely, informative blog on my 'favourite places' list.

I'm off to mow. When the over-ripe lemons drop to the ground, I mow over them; love the scent!

I'm glad your little buddy found a good home with the doves.
How nice to have lemons growing on your property. Happy mowing.

Oooh...I just wrote that tea on my grocery list! That looks very yummy!

Awww...who can blame Mr. Pigeon for settling down with three lovely ladies? :)

Maggie's Garden...yes, the latest report is that he's settled in very well; no squabbles.

The lemon tree is a Meyer, bittersweet. It hasn't grown much in 10 years but now, with plenty of water, should shoot up.

Yay for the pigeon! He found a little family.

How nice to have your own fresh lemons growing in your yard, Alaine. The tree looks quite healthy.

Tea? I thought lemons were for G&T ?! Hope you're enjoying the Spring, Alaine.

You're so lucky to be able to grow lemons on your property. We are too high in elevation and it gets too cold here in the Winter to have them survive. I would love to have some citrus here. Maybe in my small greenhouse I might be able to have a potted one...

Derrick...haha, I can't see what the fuss is about G&T; tried it recently but went back to Champers.

Yes, enjoying Spring; it's a beautiful morning here, not a cloud in the sky. Picking up limbs today for the bonfire.

Teri...a large majority of homes in Australia would have a lemon tree and there's been one in the backyard wherever I've lived. I'd quite forgotten about elevations and extreme winters not being conducive to growing one. It's lovely to have them 'on tap', as it were.

I have been making mint tea for my husband while mint is plentiful but I’ll try this one for him. He likes his tea with ice. When we go to the restaurant and I say I don’t want ice in my tea the server looks at me as if I were nut. Even after living in the US so long I still don’t like ice in my drinks - I’ll tell them “one or 2 ice cubes please” and they think I am joking. I like the story of your little pigeon.

Vagabonde...mint tea sounds nice too. A neighbour gave me a handful of mint a few months ago, I stuck it in the ground and now we have a beautiful patch right at the back door. I'll look up how to make it.

Alaine, isn't that typical, i come by for a long overdue visit & you are away! I have so enjoyed catching up on all your news, and all that rain!!! we dont seen to have that problem here in bonnie scotland ;-) hope you are well x ruthie x

Ruthie...I'm still here but not spending as much time inside as we have so much to do outside this time of the year. It's also school holidays and daughter is coming up with youngest grandchild, Bailey, for a few days...a bit of flyfishing and searching for frogs, which is not hard, as there are plenty of them about with the ponds full next door. The night air is loud with 'bok, bok, bok'.

Twinings used to make a ginger/orange/honey tea which was divine. My sister used to send me boxes of it from England. No longer available!

T...ooh, I'd love that one too; pity but I suppose they have to delete one occasionally to put something new on the market. Love your new avatar!
