Take Me Home!!!!!

Taj went on "holiday" too. He's so well looked after by Jacky; when the fires were bearing down on her property in February, she packed all the animals up and made several trips with them into the vets in the township, where we found our little dog safe and well. Thankfully her patch was saved, although severely scorched around the border.

There he is, waiting patiently with
his little friend, tail wagging madly.

And a special treat for being so good.

alaine! i'm looking into the little guy's eyes and sensing that this wouldn't be a time to play "let's mess with your mind by pretending to grab the bone from you"!!!! there's not been any mention in the press over here about fires in australia for a little while . . . is this recent then? take care. steven

Steven, he really did growl when I pestered him for a photo! The fires were last February and came within 6km of our house. We were smoked out for weeks. So many lives were lost and a little town of Marysville, close by, had only 30 houses left out of 400. I'll be so glad when Summer's over.

Fires are so scary. Our friends lost their barn a few years ago - that's how close the fire came to their house. They were able to get the horses to safety, but you always wonder about all of the other animals that are wild. Your little dog looks rather fierce with that big bone! LOL!

Hello Nancy, it was very frightening with them so close and we were exhausted, only half sleeping. I don't know what happened to that bone; I'll probably dig it up one day!

AAAAhhhhh, I'm glad all went well. He does look happy with his bone, he'll have busy days ahead with that and then he'll have to find a place to bury it!

Hello Friko, yes, as I said earlier to Nancy, we haven't seen it since! The trip was great; fully recovered now.

It's very quiet, people must be out buying Christmas presents. I was also thinking about that old saying, "take a holiday and come back to no job"; in this case it might well read, "take a holiday and come back to no followers!". Oh well.

Oh, I'm so glad your little Taj made out well while you were thousands of miles away! It sounds as if he had a very good caregiver.

Hi Susan, Jacky is so good with them. She said there were a couple of extremely hot days, over 40C, so she dunked him in the tub. He is usually inside with us and the airconditioning!

Hello Phoenix, he is our little treasure; so good and funny as a circus!
