we HAD snow!

nivis drifts in the morning watch
draping silently over eucalpyts -
vanished by noon.

Don't laugh; this is a big deal for someone
who hasn't seen much snow in their lifetime!

I like looking at snow, but I don't like getting around in it. It's especially annoying since I acquired chickens. I have to stand on my head to amuse them when they won't go out in it. Cabbage heads suspended just high enough to make them jump works fairly well. :)

I wouldn't mind having snow at a distance like you have!

Susan, that's hilarious about your chooks. We have trouble getting our little Taj to go outside when it's wet, not even a bone will lure him! Yes, the snow WAS nice to see. Sometimes it's fallen here but melts as soon as it hits the ground.

U-R, thanks for visiting. Your blog is really lovely; I must go back and read more, as I love history.
