Fox on the run...

I've just found these shots on my camera, taken back in July.
A fox coming so close to the house at 9am in the morning;
it must have been hungry
and knew there'd be left-over doggy bones on the grass.

In great condition
but, on closer inspection,
it had a badly damaged and bleeding front paw.
Seconds later it was gone.

Ours are nowhere near that big.

Steven Cain...it is big...we saw a bright red one two days ago in the afternoon in a more built-up area and very skinny.

Lovely fox! We used to have little fox pups visit the yard and rest on the leaf pile, but only see adult ones these last few years.

Maison de lin...Jérome, I think you mean the items on the windowsill? Yes, we're in the fisherman's room with little antique treasures scattered around everywhere!

Wanda...I'm not surprised you'd have foxes as well in your little piece of nature's paradise!

Renée...I don't ride but I love horses and I should imagine that the Hunt would be so exciting! But, even though foxes are considered vermin, I'd hate to see one ripped apart by the hounds!!
