Hello Lainie,
We are not Royalists and have, very happily for us, gone through the entire day so far without sight or sound of the Royal Wedding.

That said, we so enjoy your blog and have delighted in a trip down memory lane by watching your wonderful little video clip of all those marriages.

We do hope that you have had a really happy day too.

Jane and Lance...thank you for visiting; it seems that my regular readers are also not Royalists. :)

It was evening here and my husband surprised me by watching with me...although he fell asleep half way through!

Hi Alaine. We loved watching the ceremony. So beautiful and so positive...something we felt was good to experience.

Kate made a very beautiful bride and William was quite a handsome groom. Hope their union is a happy one. Enjoyed the video.

Renée....I sat with a box of tissues! It was beautiful.

Canada is tipped as the destination for their honeymoon.

Mason...I'm sure they're made for each other!

Well, I adored every moment and sat watching it with a glass of champagne in one hand and a tissue in the other! As soon as the beautiful bride stepped out of the car I was welling up, even before the Parry, one of my all time favourite pieces of music. Goodness, let's stop over-analysing the rights and wrongs of monarchy and just let ourselves enjoy some happy news for once, is my view. This was a marvelous, joyous day, and I felt lucky to be British. :)

DB...agreed...I've also read that it will boost England's economy by about £600 million and that the bulk was paid by the Queen, Prince Charles and the Middletons, not the taxpayers.

I loved that Parry piece as she walked the aisle. All of the music was lovely and I particularly enjoyed watching the choirboys sing....and the glances between William and Kate.
