"Come gentle Spring! ethereal mildness, come"

Winter is hanging around today

luckily, I took some shots
on the sunnier weekend just past

spring comes and the grass
grows by itself" - Zen saying

The advent of spring is always such a relief, and a return to faith that life does indeed spiral onward.

You are enjoying this awakening as those of us on the other side of the world are preparing to bid farewell to sweet summer, alas!

It will be nice viewing the progress of spring there, here we are heading into what I hope is a very colorful autumn! I think each season has it's own special beauty.

Found you through Steven at Golden Fish. I was caught off guard by your lovely spring photos, until I saw where you lived! :) Summer is still hot here in Western NY, but as you see on Steven's latest post, little signs of the time are beginning to show on the leaves...

Summer is my favorite time of year. And for about 15 years I always start my countdown on Sept. 1st: 200 days 'til Spring!!

Everyone thinks I'm crazy. Well, maybe just a little!

Beautiful site, and I look forward to visiting you again!

Such beautiful photographs, Alaine. Final glimpses of summer before autumn takes over, though I think autumnal leaves and plants have their own wonder :)

T.Clear....Hi, T! I presume you are enjoying lovely Ireland right now; our place looks like the isle right now...GREEN!

Wanda...you're right, every season does have it's beauty. The only one I'm uncomfortable in is summer with the heat and always the threat of bushfires.

Rick...hi, thanks for visiting and I'd love to see you back here often!

We're opposites, I love the other three seasons, especially winter.

We got lost in NYC last year - here's my post about it - http://coccinella-ladybug.blogspot.com/search?q=Lost+in+New+York+City However, a cab got us out of trouble!

Sam...:) :) the other way around, end of winter, beginning of spring here in Oz!

Those first beautiful blooms of spring are always most welcome, arne't they? Love the pink one...is that a pink blossom? It looks just like what bloomed on our peach tree years ago.

Summer is my least favorite season too, Alaine.

This is the pink I strive for in my garden and can never quite achieve. Everything at your place looks wonderful...budding beautifully. Nice photos...thanks for sharing. We're still having summer heat and humidity here. Looking forward to fall....enjoying your spring. Blogging is great, isn't it? We get to see the best of both!

Just wondering...how are you enjoying 'Heart and Soul'? Good read?

Betsy...the pinks are both Camellias; so pretty. There is a bee in the centre of the flower, first pic. Outside is a-buzz!

maggie's garden...karen, yes, I love seeing what's going on on the other side of the world - enjoy your Fall!

I am enjoying that book; half way through already! I'm not sleeping very well lately, so on goes the light to read some more!

Such sweet pictures - very tender. We are looking towards fall - and I'm ready for the change.

Nancy....Autumn's always very welcome.

Beautiful, especially the camellias. I've just been asking people about their favourite seasons over at Dancing Beastie, so it's fun to see what your readers have to say about the same subject.

I found your site by way of Paul's. Beautiful photos. As you are looking forward to spring, here in Georgia (USA) we are looking to fall.
