Our place yesterday, arriving home from shopping....

It was an awesome sight;

photos can't

capture what we saw...

pride in what we've achieved

and a very early regret

that we have to leave it one day...

but we'll enjoy it a little more

~ while we may.

Alaine--why do you have to leave some day? Are you planning on moving? It is absolutely beautiful there. I am envious that you are going through Fall now. That is my absolute favorite season. Next would be Spring but Summer...not so much. And that is coming up. About Taylor...she is supposed to be Shih Tzu but we know that there "must" be something else in her...just can't figure out what! I love her little face. She is a feisty little girl, that's for sure. She thinks that she is a big dog. I see it is already April 21st in your "neck of the woods". Happy birthday to me in Australia!

Hi Alaine,

You have every right to be proud of your achievement. I'm sure it is an ongoing project with lots more creative input for you to enjoy.

A--So nice of you to comment on my blog. Yes, Taylor is a sweet dog. Not sure about "what" she is...she was supposed to be a Shih Tzu (sp) but doesn't look like one at all. We think either Pekingese or Pug must be in there somewhere! When you speak of leaving your place sometime are you speaking in generalities or do you plan to leave soon? It is really a beautiful place!

Beautiful to see your fall as daffodils fill our little village here in Spring.
You have a right to be proud of your peaceful land. Stunning !

Bonnie...thank you for your visit. I've just read about your darling Silken; I'm so sorry, I know how one deeply grieves for a lost pet. ♥a

Teri, yes, one day we'll have to move on to something smaller. I noticed yesterday that my jonquils are about 6" high; I think they're a bit early!?

Derrick...we said decades ago that we'd always have something 'on the go'. There's always something to do here, that's for sure!

T...we are lucky and I wonder if we'll be as happy somewhere else; where do we spend the last season?

Hello Lyn, we never tire of it and I love what you said, 'memory matters'. My late MIL always said, "it's going to be hard leaving this place"; she was so right.

Susie, thank you. And coming from someone who also lives in a peaceful, beautiful place, the Lincolnshire Wolds! We recently watched Tess of the D'Urbervilles and once again went into raptures over the beautiful English countryside. Hubby was born in Hayle, Cornwall and revisited a couple of years back after nearly 60 years in Australia.

Wanda...and you, too, live in paradise! It's true that every country in the world has pockets of exquisite beauty.
