  2. Dear Alaine,

It is still another three hours and forty minutes before it is Friday here on this side of the Pacific.

My heart seemed to stop upon seeing the German romantic artist Friedrich. Thought the scene is very melancholy, there is a silence and stillness that is so very beautiful.

Wishing you a wonderful Easter holiday weekend,
    Egmont

  7. Hi Alaine,

Something would appear to "up" with your Blogger background this morning, unless it's me! However, that doesn't prevent me from wishing you and your husband a Happy Easter!

  10. Derrick...there has been some hiccups with the new templates. I notice that you use IE8, I use Firefox. I went and had a look in IE8 but all seems to be OK. Hope it's righted itself in your computer. Sometimes you wonder how other people see you, haha, in more ways than one! Happy Easter in Scotland!

  13. I like Caspar Friedrich so much – his paintings have the right mood and soft colors. He is quite a romantic in his paintings although some of his scenes look a little bit like science fiction, don’t you think so?

  15. Vagabonde...Some of his paintings are a little surreal but the majority I love. He certainly catered for many different tastes!
