I am so envious - such exquisite birds. Love, love love your new header!!
It has turned cool in the northeast, btw - so pack a light coat and some sweaters for your trip to NYC. I hear they had snow in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and parts of New York last week. We did not get any up here - it is a tad early! Snow melts fast when it comes early because the earth is still warm.
I just love your colorful birds! So tame...are they your pets? And spring in your garden is beautiful. I hope you're enjoying your springtime. Your tortoise sure looks to be having a great time!
Hi Steven, I love the header shot; it will stay for a while. This roving reporter was desperate for a story, so made one up! Only kidding, just a bit of madness. It's wooden.
Hello Maggie, no, they're not pets; just drop in from time to time. We are enjoying spring but I've found out that I've inherited an allergy to grasses and I have a nasty, red rash right up one arm and shoulders. It appeared after I did a couple of hours mowing the other day. Apparently you build up an immunity but one day it will break out. So I'm on anti-histamines for a few days. Gosh, it's itchy!!
So charming..what a regal tortoise. This post has really given me a lift..a touch of spring..we do have a deceptive 70 deg. today..I won't be fooled for long!
Alaine, So sorry to hear of your allergies. Do hope they subside soon. How lucky that you have the opportunity to get so close to the birds in your area. I have a real fondness for birds both as pets, and observing them in their natural habitats. Hope to see more of these beauties on your blog. Thanks for posting them. xoxo
Hello Friko, they walk huge distances too! There's a dam one side of us,large ponds the other and the river across the road; they walk across our property between waters. If it's hot and we see one, we pick it up and give it respite in the bird bath.
Such pretty Photos, great imaginings going on - so very nice.

Hello Susie, nice to 'see' you and thanks. Just a bit of silliness!

ReplyDeleteHi Lyn, beautiful one day, nippy the next. We have a little fog this morning but yesterday morning was bright sunshine.
ReplyDeleteOh, this was so much fun! How wonderful that you have these large, gorgeous birds just drop by! I have a thing for birds! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy, they're a delight and I'm sure they love humans, as we love them; they're so curious, particularly when seed and crumbs are aplenty!
ReplyDeleteHe's quite adventurous! Fabulous bird pics, especially your new header. wow!
ReplyDeleteHi Willow and thanks. Just a bit of fun before the serious.
